Mô tả
The Müller Y strainer features a Y-shaped design consisting of a valve body and a side chamber with a filter screen. When the fluid flows in, impurities, debris, and solid particles (such as rust, sand, metal residues, and other solids) are trapped by the screen.
After filtration, the “clean” fluid continues flowing through the pipeline, while dirt and debris are retained in the strainer chamber, helping protect equipment such as valves, pumps, pressure gauges, and other sensitive devices.
The internal filter screen can be removed for cleaning, allowing convenient maintenance without replacing the valve.
Construction:
– Valve body: cast iron, steel, or stainless steel depending on the model
– Filter screen: stainless steel 304/316, corrosion-resistant, high durability
– Y cover: openable for filter screen cleaning
– Sealing gasket: EPDM / PTFE
– Bolts and nuts (for models with removable cover)
Technical specifications:
– Size: DN15 – DN300
– Body material: GGG50 ductile iron, gray cast iron, stainless steel 304/316
– Working pressure: PN10 / PN16 / PN25
– Temperature: 0–120°C (depending on material)
– Connection: threaded or flanged
Features:
– Y-shaped design helps reduce pressure loss
– Various mesh sizes from 10–500 microns to suit different applications
– Pressure rating: PN10 – PN16 – PN25
– Easy cleaning – simply open the cover, remove the screen, and rinse it clean
– Stainless steel filter screen, corrosion-resistant, suitable for clean water and industrial water
– High durability, suitable for continuous operating systems
Benefits:
– Protects auxiliary equipment by preventing debris from affecting pumps, valves, gauges, and other devices
– Simple structure, easy installation, suitable for various working environments
– Easy cleaning and maintenance: simply remove the cover to take out and clean the filter screen
– Low cost, automatic operation: no external power or control required
– Can be installed in multiple orientations: both horizontal and vertical (depending on size and design)
Disadvantages:
– Cannot filter ultra-fine particles: only retains debris larger than the mesh size and does not replace fine filtration systems
– Periodic cleaning is required: otherwise, debris accumulation may reduce flow rate and increase system pressure
– May cause pressure drop: fluid passing through the screen creates resistance, resulting in slight pressure loss
– Not suitable for very sticky or high-viscosity fluids, as the screen may clog quickly
