Mô tả
The Aigner battery-powered electromagnetic flow meter (AIGNER/D) is a flexible and accurate solution that operates independently of mains power, making it ideal for remote water supply systems, water treatment, and industrial flow measurement applications—especially where remote monitoring and automation integration are required. With long battery life and multiple communication options, it is well suited for modern measurement and control systems.
Technical Information:
– Battery: Uses 5 built-in 3.6 V lithium batteries, battery life ≈ 3–8 years depending on usage and device configuration.
– Size: DN10 – DN2000 (≈ 3/8″ – 80″)
– Velocity: 0.1 – 15 m/s
– Standard accuracy: approx. ±0.5% of measured value
– Higher accuracy option: ±0.2% (high accuracy) available upon request
– Fluid type: Measures conductive liquids only (conductivity > 5 μS/cm, or > 20 μS/cm for water)
– Operating temperature: Display/transmitter −20°C to +60°C; sensor up to +80°C – +150°C depending on liner material
– Protection class: IP65, IP68
– Output signal: 4–20 mA
Key Features:
– Battery-powered operation: Uses high energy - density Lithium batteries. The battery life typically ranges from 5 to 10 years (depending on the data sampling frequency), completely eliminating the need for electrical wiring and power cabinet installation costs.
– Electronic measurement technology: There are no mechanical moving parts inside the pipe. This prevents wear and tear, avoids pressure loss, and ensures accurate measurement even when the water contains impurities or light sediment.
– Sensor design: The inner lining of the pipe is typically made from heat-resistant and corrosion - resistant materials, making it suitable for both clean water and treated wastewater.
Benefits:
– Operates independently without mains power
– Battery life: 3–8 years depending on workload and configuration
– High accuracy: ±0.2% to ±0.5% (depending on configuration)
– Modern communication connectivity: PLC/SCADA and IoT integration via RS-485, HART, GPRS/4G/5G
– Excellent protection: IP68 allows outdoor or submerged installation without risk of device damage
– Wide application environments: from clean water and wastewater to conductive chemicals (depending on material selection)
– Extremely high durability: With no mechanical parts subject to wear, the meter body has a very long service life and requires almost no periodic maintenance
– Flexible installation: Suitable for remote areas, pumping stations, or bulk metering points where grid power is not available
Disadvantages:
– Measures conductive liquids only; not suitable for oil or dry gas
– Higher initial investment compared to many mechanical or basic ultrasonic meters
– Proper pipeline design and calibration are required to achieve optimal accuracy
– Battery life may decrease significantly if GSM/GPRS data transmission is too frequent
– Battery dependency: After a long period (5-10 years), the battery must be replaced periodically to ensure uninterrupted data transmission
– Technical requirements: Requires qualified technicians to perform initial configuration and integrate with the management software system
Applications
– Urban water distribution network management (DMA): Installed at network separation points (DMAs) to monitor the inflow of water supplied to each residential area.
+ Measurement points within the zone
+ Pressure and flow monitoring
– Pumping stations and wastewater treatment systems
– High-end residential areas and smart buildings
– Applications in industrial and commercial sectors
