Rashmi Metaliks is one of the leading manufactures of DI Pipes & Fittings in the word. Currently, the company has increased its annual production capacity to up to 1.270.000 Metric Tonnes of DI Pipes & 36.000 Metric Tonnes of DI Fittings annually.
The Ductile Iron Pipes manufactured by Rashmi Metaliks LTD encompass a wide dimension spectrum ranging from DN80 to DN2000, boasting a standardized length of 5.5 meters. Ductile iron stands out due to its spheroidal microstructure. This is a significant improvement over grey cast iron and is widely used in modern water supply systems.

Key product features:
– Ductile iron pipes have high mechanical strength and better impact resistance compared to grey cast iron.
– The inner and outer linings provide corrosion resistance, making them suitable for both clean water and wastewater applications.
– Various jointing methods (flanged, grooved, rubber gasket) are available, allowing easy selection based on installation requirements.
– Stable structure with excellent sealing performance when installed according to standards
Advantages of Rashmi Ductile Iron Pipes:
– High tensile strength and excellent impact resistance due to spheroidal graphite structure
– Excellent resistance to soil and traffic loads, ideal for underground installation beneath roadways
– Corrosion resistance: Typically coated with zinc + bitumen or epoxy on the outside, and cement mortar lining on the inside. Provides better resistance to soil, wastewater, and seawater corrosion compared to steel.
– Leakage resistance: Uses EPDM/NBR rubber gaskets to provide high sealing performance, ensuring near - zero leakage.
– Durable cement mortar lining: provides a smooth, uniform internal surface with excellent corrosion resistance for potable water, raw water, and non-aggressive wastewater; reduces flow friction, increases hydraulic capacity, and minimizes pressure loss.
– Excellent installation capability: Easy to install, with a push - on joint system that allows quick installation without welding. This saves time, ensures high safety, and enables installation even in complex terrains.
Disadvantages:
– Heavy weight: transportation and installation can be challenging in confined areas
– Higher initial cost compared to plastic pipes, offset by longer service life and superior mechanical strength
– Requires specialized equipment and skilled manpower due to pipe weight and standard jointing methods (flanged/grooved)
