| The male thread tee is a T-shaped pipe fitting featuring two PPR fusion sockets and one metal male threaded outlet. It is used to branch pipelines while connecting to internally threaded devices such as valves, water meters, metal elbows, and other threaded fittings. Technical specifications: – Material: + Fitting body: PP + Male threaded insert: Nickel-plated brass or stainless steel (SS304) – Size range: DN20 – DN110 + Male thread sizes: ½”, ¾”, 1″, 1¼”, 1½”, 2″ + Configuration: 2 equal fusion ends + 1 BSPT male thread (ISO 7/1) – Working pressure: PN16, PN20 – Working temperature: 0 – 95°C – Connection type: + Pipe ends: PPR heat fusion welding + Male thread end: threaded connection with PTFE tape / thread sealant – Standards: ISO 17885, ISO 3458, ISO 3459, ISO 3501, ISO 3503, ISO 7 Key features: – Flexible combination of PPR fusion joints and metal threaded connection – Metal threaded insert provides excellent resistance to heat and pressure without deformation – Completely leak-tight when installed correctly – Corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, suitable for potable water systems – Smooth internal surface reduces flow friction Benefits: – Quick installation and easy connection to threaded equipment – Heat resistant up to 95°C – High durability with service life of 25–50 years – Lightweight and simple to install – Stable performance with excellent leak resistance Disadvantages: – Higher cost compared to standard fusion tees – Threaded end requires PTFE tape or thread sealant to prevent leakage – Not reusable once PPR fusion welding has been completed – Care must be taken not to overtighten to avoid damaging the threaded insert |
