Mô tả
Ductile iron pipes manufactured by Rashmi Metaliks LTD cover a wide size range from DN80 to DN2000, with a standard length of 5.5 meters. Ductile iron is characterized by its spheroidal graphite microstructure, representing a significant improvement over gray cast iron and is widely used in modern water supply systems.

– Standards: EN 545:2010 / EN 545:2006, ISO 2531:2009 / ISO 2531:1998, EN 598:2007 / ISO 7186:2011, IS 8329:2000 / IS 9523, ISO 4179 & ISO 8179
Key product features:
– High mechanical strength with superior impact resistance compared to gray cast iron
– Internal and external corrosion-resistant linings suitable for both clean water and wastewater applications
– Multiple jointing options (flanged, grooved, rubber gasket) to suit various installation requirements
– Stable structure with excellent sealing performance when installed according to standards
Advantages of Rashmi Ductile Iron Pipes:
– High tensile strength and excellent impact resistance due to spheroidal graphite structure
– Excellent resistance to soil and traffic loads, ideal for underground installation beneath roadways
– Superior corrosion protection: typically zinc-coated with external bitumen or epoxy, and internal cement mortar lining, providing better resistance to soil, wastewater, and saline water compared to steel
– Leak-proof performance: EPDM/NBR rubber gaskets ensure high sealing efficiency and near-zero leakage
– Durable cement mortar lining: provides a smooth, uniform internal surface with excellent corrosion resistance for potable water, raw water, and non-aggressive wastewater; reduces flow friction, increases hydraulic capacity, and minimizes pressure loss
– Outstanding installability: easy installation with push-on joints requiring no welding, saving time, improving safety, and enabling construction in complex terrain
Disadvantages:
– Heavy weight: transportation and installation can be challenging in confined areas
– Higher initial cost compared to plastic pipes, offset by longer service life and superior mechanical strength
– Requires specialized equipment and skilled manpower due to pipe weight and standard jointing methods (flanged/grooved)
