Aquadis+ is a volumetric piston water meter manufactured by Itron. Designed for residential and commercial applications, Aquadis+ stands out for its high accuracy, stable low-flow measurement, and long-term reliability, making it ideal for billing and water consumption management.

Disadvantages:
– Higher initial cost compared to standard single-jet or multi-jet meters due to piston technology
– Requires Cyble module or AMR system to fully utilize remote reading capabilities
– Suitable for clean/cold water only (special meters required for high-temperature or specific applications)
– Sensitive to impurities: Due to the very small clearance between the piston and the measuring chamber, the piston can easily get stuck if the water contains sand, coarse particles, or debris. A Y-strainer must be installed upstream
– Noise: When operating at maximum flow, the piston rotation noise many be more noticeable compared to multi-jet impeller types
